Senior National Policy Advisor, International Mountain Bike Association

I developed and implemented policies, strategies, and tactics to manage and improve mountain bicycling and outdoor recreation, with a focus on federal land agencies; 1991 to 2005.

Town Council member, Town of Crested Butte, Colorado

Elected in 1995 with door-to-door campaign. Issues included open space preservation, town and county land-use regulation, transportation, affordable housing, allocation of new town buildings, and a $5 million annual budget; 1995 to 1999.

President, High Country Citizens' Alliance

I served as the leader of this environmental organization working on water, wilderness, public lands, and growth management issues. Responsibilities included public speaking, writing, lobbying, negotiation, research, fundraising, staff direction, board & volunteers coordination, and administration; 1989 to 1996; board member, 1983 to 2000.
